Synopsis

Three years have passed since the legendary Prism Queen Cup, and Aira Harune, Rizumu Amamiya, and Mion Takamine have risen to fame as celebrated Prism Stars, spreading the brilliance and charm of Prism Shows wherever they go. Yet they face an unexpected rival in the passionate and energetic girl Mia Ageha, who publicly vows to beat Aira and claim the title of the greatest Prism Star. Seeing her promise, the Prism Show agency Pretty Top recruits Mia along with three other aspiring Prism Stars—Karin Shijimi, Reina Miyama, and Ayami Ooruri—to create the idol group Prizmmy. Still, the path to stardom is tough: Mia must contend with the sudden reappearance of an old friend who now stands as her rival, and she must navigate the alluring yet cunning world of Prism Shows. Nevertheless, with her friends and team by her side, Mia grows even more determined to press forward and shape her own future.

Background

The main cast in the Pretty Rhythm franchise features fictional characters based on the real-life girl group Prizmmy. In April 2012, an existing arcade game Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream was relaunched as Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future to coincide with its tie-in anime adaptation of the same name. Each episode of the anime series featured a live-action variety show segment titled "Pretty Rhythm Studio" featuring the members of Prizmmy.
