Synopsis
A ten-year-old girl named Yugo, who is both a village girl and a martial arts student, encounters a white creature called a "liger"—a hybrid of a lion and a tiger born from a magic stone. The creature introduces itself as Lala. Surprised that she can understand the animal's speech, Yugo follows it up a mountain, where a Cloud Whale swallows them both. Inside the whale's enormous stomach, they find many different creatures being transported to Animal Paradise, a fantastical kingdom that only admits 99 chosen animals once every ten years. However, humans are forbidden in this kingdom; anyone who stays for more than three days will be permanently turned into an animal. To find her way home, Yugo seeks assistance from the seemingly fierce Uncle Bear, a black bear with a sharp tongue but a gentle heart. As time runs out for Yugo, she and Lala uncover the Tiger General's sinister scheme to open a magical portal into Lala's world and transform every human into an animal.
