Synopsis
Driven by an unyielding thirst for discovery, scientist Rintarou Okabe, along with his gentle yet forgetful friend Mayuri Shiina and his roommate Itaru Hashida, establishes the Future Gadget Laboratory. Their goal is to create technology beyond human understanding, yet their most impressive achievement so far is a microwave that turns bananas into a strange green goo. Okabe's visit to a symposium on time travel sets off a chain of events that reveal the Phone Microwave's hidden potential. He discovers the device can send text messages back in time, and as he experiments with this power, the secret organization SERN takes a dangerous interest. As Okabe grapples with the consequences of altering the timeline, he and his friends face constant threats. He must fix the disruptions to history while struggling to maintain his sanity and protect those he cares about.
Background
Steins;Gate is based on 5pb. and Nitroplus' visual novel of the same title released in 2009. It serves as the second entry in the Science Adventure series.
