Synopsis
For centuries, vampires have lived under the authority of the Scarlet Moon, a rule punctuated annually by the Visual Prison, a visual kei contest where the victor who performs the most exquisite song is granted immense power by the moon. The competition is dominated by two opposing factions: ECLIPSE, the current champions who uphold the status quo, and LOST EDEN, a group that advocates for rule by the strongest. Ange Yuki, a shy and insecure boy, relocates to Harajuku hoping to find his musical idol. However, his search leads him into the middle of a fierce live performance battle between ECLIPSE and LOST EDEN. Mesmerized by their captivating stages, Ange suddenly succumbs to an overwhelming bloodlust and collapses. When he wakes, he is being cared for by Guiltia "Guil" Brion, the musician he looked up to, who reveals that Ange is a dhampir, possessing both human and vampire heritage. Although Ange gains the right to compete in the upcoming Visual Prison, Guil makes it clear he will not be his partner. Instead, Ange crosses paths with Robin Laffite, an Englishman captivated by Ange's remarkable vocal talent. As the date of the contest approaches, Ange must urgently assemble a competent team to compete in a thrilling race against time.
