Gorou Tatsumi, a burly undercover police officer at Shinjuku station, is approached by an unsuspecting hooker, and both of their lives take an unexpected turn. Soon, Tatsumi and the hooker fall in love, but a jealous former client of the girl disapproves. As tensions rise, Tatsumi becomes the victim of a vicious knife attack. Only the girl can identify the culprit—but how will she do it?

In this gag comedy manga adapted into a TV anime by Masatoshi Uchizaki, the story focuses on Rampou, a carefree Japanese teenager who is kidnapped by aliens. Following experiments aboard their UFO, he becomes a "warp boy" convinced he can accomplish anything.

Taiyo Mukai, the eldest son of a diner owner, holds a lofty goal: to become a professional golfer and win the British Open. The year he completed junior high school, he passed the professional golf test at an unprecedentedly young age. Subsequently, through the sport of golf, Taiyo met and challenged many people, growing as a professional golfer. He fulfills his dream of playing in the British Open.

Following the atomic bombing, black rain fell on Hiroshima, heavily contaminated with radiation. The enduring consequences of this radioactive fallout have persisted, affecting later generations and continuing to shadow the survivors' lives.

In the "High School! Kimengumi" movie, the Kimengumi and their friends go through three more escapades. First, they flunk their exams just before summer break and are forced into remedial classes. The second part involves a mandatory beach trip with a swimming contest during the holiday. In the final episode, as school starts again, the karate club faces a formidable new opponent.

In the mountains of India, a man named Takeshi Yamato acquires the powers of the legendary Rainbow Warrior, enabling him to transform into Rainbowman. Armed with this ability, he must prevent aliens from invading Earth.

After competing in judo during junior high, Tarou "Dokaben" Yamada enrolls at Meikun High School, where he is persuaded to join the baseball team. His outstanding athletic abilities quickly distinguish him, earning him a reputation for powerful hitting. Working with his eccentric teammates, Tarou plays a key role in Meikun's rise, making them a top competitor for the High School Baseball Championship.

Nikumaru, whose name means "meatball" in Japanese, is a seventeen-year-old attending Ninja High School—an academy focused on training ninjas. Although he is short and chubby, he wields a formidable technique called the "kamikaze," generating a whirlwind through his distinctive footwork. The story follows his many adventures and mischievous pranks, as he takes on challenges from rivals both within and beyond the school.

The third Captain Tsubasa movie, Asu ni Mukatte Hashire!, primarily revolves around a training match with the All Japan Boy Soccer Team. However, a large part of the film features flashbacks to earlier matches, including the decisive Nankatsu versus Toho final and the notable challenge Wakabayashi issued to the captains of various sports teams.

In High School! Kimengumi, the members of the Funny-face Club reject ordinary high school life. The group includes Rei Ichidou, Gou Reietsu, Kiyoshi Shusse, Dai Monohoshi, and Jin Daima—each possessing distinct facial features and wildly eccentric personalities. Despite their differing temperaments, intellects, physical oddities, and behaviors, they are unmistakably strange. They interact with other colorful school factions such as the Pretty-boy Brigade, the Buckle-down Bunch, and the Rebel Crew, together with classmates like Yui Kawa and Chie Uru, as well as teachers who often get swept into the turmoil. The quintet throws themselves into an endless whirlwind of outrageous and chaotic adventures. This tale is filled with absurdity, randomness, and sheer madness, centering on five unforgettable misfits.

This second film centers on the rematch between the All Europe Soccer Team and Japan. Hyuga at first refuses to join because his third consecutive loss to Nankatsu. He throws himself into perfecting the Tiger Shot under Kyra's rigorous training. Misaki is unavailable, and Wakabayashi is barred from playing since he normally represents a German club. These absences, along with the European captain Schneider who has honed his skills, create major obstacles for Tsubasa and the Japanese side. Despite new regulations, Schneider seeks to defeat his rival Wakabayashi with his newly developed "illusion shot." He brutally attacks the substitute goalkeepers Wakashimazu and Murisaki until Wakabayashi is finally allowed to play. As the match goes on, Hyuga completes mastering the Tiger Shot and rejoins the team. Bringing together all the legendary players and Hyuga's new power, they claim a 4-3 victory in the final moments.

In the fourth film, the classic rivalry between Japan and Europe expands to a worldwide stage. Four squads participate in this tournament: Japan, the United States, "All Europe," and "All South America." Japan defeats the US in the first match 3-0. Meanwhile, South America edges out Europe 3-2 in their game. The final pits Japan against South America, who unveil their "soccer cyborg," Carlos Santana—a seemingly unstoppable player. Despite this, Japan’s signature moves, like Hyuga's "Tiger Shot" and Tsubasa's "Top Spin," prove ineffective at first. However, after an intense and spectacular battle, the Japanese squad learns to work together in perfect unison and eventually secures the win.

The inaugural Captain Tsubasa movie features a showdown between an "All Europe Boy Soccer Team" and an "All Japan Boy Soccer Team," set after the original TV series concludes. When the Japanese squad arrives in Europe, they encounter exceptional players possessing abilities and intensity they have never dealt with before. Shortly after the match starts, the Tachibana brothers score a goal using their "acrobatic soccer," but the European side boasts superb organization and their legendary captain Karl-Heinz Schneider from Germany appears impossible to beat. With Wakashimazu completely overwhelmed by Schneider, the injured goalkeeper genius Wakabayashi steps in and manages to halt Schneider's "fire shots." Following this, Japan ultimately triumphs 3-2.

Captain Tsubasa follows a young elementary school boy whose entire existence revolves around his deep passion for soccer. At only eleven years old, Tsubasa Oozora has practiced the sport since early childhood, turning what for others is just a pastime into an all-consuming obsession. To chase his childhood ambitions, Tsubasa relocates with his mother to the famous city of Nankatsu, celebrated for its outstanding elementary school soccer squads. Although he has achieved success before, Nankatsu presents tough obstacles, forcing Tsubasa to rely on all his abilities and raw talent to distinguish himself among his new opponents. On his path, Tsubasa meets both rivals and allies, including the affectionate Sanae Nakazawa and the exceptionally skilled goalkeeper Genzo Wakabayashi. Both share Tsubasa's unwavering devotion to the game, becoming crucial companions as they work toward their shared objective. Tsubasa's ultimate ambition is to represent Japan in the FIFA World Cup, but reaching that goal demands far more than simply natural ability.
