Mahjong Hishouden Naki no Ryuu is a mahjong anime based on a manga by Nojo Junichi, serialized during the 1980s and 1990s.

While Scramble Wars features characters from the original Bubblegum Crisis, Gall Force, and Genesis Survivor Gaiarth, it also includes others from series like AD Police and Riding Bean. Whether you loved or hated any of these shows, as long as you've seen at least one, you'll have a great time watching this—though the insanity is so universal that it hardly matters if you haven't seen any of the anime featured in Scramble Wars. Wacky Races? Not exactly, but close enough. Genom is holding a race; the winner receives the Genom Trophy! Woohoo! Yay! Enter Priss on her Motoroid, Linna and Nene, Sylia and Mackie, a Boomer... An evil empire called Jaaku suddenly launches a raid on Earth. In response, a light emerges from the planet and fights back—this is the Raijin-Oh, piloted by Eldran. Eldran has protected the Earth since ancient times, but during the battle he is injured, causing Raijin-Oh to crash to the ground. Meanwhile, Jaaku scatters their weapons, known as Aku Darmer, across the world. At Yosho Elementary School, the third class of the fifth grade is holding extra lessons. Eldran entrusts them with the Raijin Medal and asks them to save the Earth in his place, then vanishes. Thus, the Earth Defense Agency, composed of elementary school students, is formed.

In "Ushio and Tora: Comically Deformed Theater," Ushio meets a strange purple monster that appears to be friendly. At the same time, Tora looks after a small kitten. The episode ends with a large chase sequence that brings together all the monsters from the OVA series.

A young man named Akitsu Masato is taken into custody by a secret government initiative called "Last Guardian." He learns that his ordinary student life was fabricated, and his true purpose is to pilot a massive robot known as the "Zeorymer of the Heavens." This reality is driven home when Masato witnesses his `parents` accepting money for raising him. Last Guardian is preparing for the revival of "Hau Dragon," an organization intent on world domination. Fifteen years ago, Hau Dragon constructed eight colossal robots, each mecha representing a different natural force. But before any of them could be deployed, their creator Kihara Masaki destroyed all but the leader unit: Zeorymer. He handed Zeorymer and an embryo over to the government. One day, while Shuuji and his friends are in Sapporo buying gifts for their girlfriends, a devastating aerial attack destroys the city, killing many, including one of Shuuji's friends. This marks the beginning of a full-scale war. In the chaos, Shuuji discovers Chise, who has been transformed—now equipped with metallic wings and a massive gun replacing her right arm, turning her into an unstoppable cyborg weapon. As the conflict reaches their hometown, the strain on Chise and Shuuji's relationship grows due to her drastic change, leaving them unsure if she is still human at all.
