The story is set in the Sun Kingdom, a world composed entirely of "cuteness." A memory-lost Ganso Hoppe-chan appears in this kingdom. Meanwhile, in the real world, an office worker named Hoho is steadily losing her self-esteem both at work and in her personal life, pushing her to the brink of feeling directionless. Somewhere between the worlds of Ganso Hoppe-chan and Hoho, their paths intersect. Back in the Sun Kingdom, toxic Hoppe-chan creatures are producing an "uncute place," and Ganso Hoppe-chan joins the "Guardians" to defend the kingdom.

Set in 2025, this educational anime centers on Kanade, a shy boy. He encounters Latair, an Earth fairy who leaps out of a mysterious pendant. Through Latair's magic, Kanade transforms into various creatures and travels across ecosystems—ocean, forest, savanna—meeting endangered animal species. As he shares moments of laughter, worry, and discovery with his new friends, Kanade comes to understand the dangers threatening them and starts thinking about what he can do to help.
