Breakers follows para-athletes as their paths cross with Ren Narita, a sports scientist who has been cast out. The narrative develops across four separate storylines focused on wheelchair basketball, track and high jump, goalball, and Paralympic swimming.

In a tranquil era free from Sirens or warfare, shipgirls from various nations coexist peacefully. Among them, destroyers like Ayanami, Javelin, Laffey, and Z23 focus on their studies, while others engage in diverse activities such as sports, foraging, training, formal events, and competing for the Commander's attention. Despite their different interests, these girls share a strong bond of friendship, dedicated to strengthening their connections within the serene setting of Azur Lane.

In the vast city of Kivotos, a metropolis filled with countless schools under the authority of the General Student Council (GSC), gun violence is widespread despite its academic appearance, with firearms becoming a normal part of student life. Amidst this turmoil, the GSC president has disappeared without a trace. Before her disappearance, she sought out Sensei, likely the only teacher in Kivotos, to assist students in need. Sensei's first assignment is to support Abydos High School, a once prestigious institution now down to just five students, struggling to pay off a crushing debt of nearly one billion yen.
