The Motsumoto household's everyday life focuses on the three sisters—Fuu, Suu, and Chii—as they engage in their typical routines. Although their parents sometimes need to intervene, they've grown quite accustomed to handling the sisters.

The dangerous underworld is kept in check by ghost messengers, who use cell phones that can change shape to enforce order and pursue criminals. While chasing a dangerous spirit, Master Kang Rim accidentally becomes trapped inside his own cell phone. That phone then ends up in the hands of Little Kang Rim, a twelve-year-old boy who lives with his grandfather, the owner of an antique shop. Ghost Messengers are super-powered agents from the underground realm known as the World of Death.
