When a friend asks Natsuki which high school club she plans to join, she jokes about the "Go-Home Club," meaning she intends to skip club activities entirely. To her shock, this club actually exists at her school, and her offhand comment is taken as a serious application. Before she can correct the misunderstanding, she becomes one of two new members of the Go-Home Club, a peculiar group of girls. The club is made up of members with unusual hobbies, including a fan of bear-wrestling and an extremely wealthy student. This leaves Natsuki curious about what the Go-Home Club actually does.

Tsubasa Misudachi's quiet life is upended when a massive UFO crashes in the countryside near Nagaoka, Japan. The Gatchaman team, responsible for protecting Tachikawa City, takes charge as a peaceful alien being emerges from the wreckage. Amid the chaos, Tsubasa receives an advanced technological notebook called a NOTE from J.J. Robinson, the founder of Gatchaman, marking her sudden recruitment into the team. With Hajime Ichinose guiding her as a mentor, Tsubasa gradually adapts to her role as a defender of justice. Meanwhile, CROWDS technology, which allows people to manifest their consciousness into physical forms, gains widespread popularity with the endorsement of Prime Minister Sugayama. However, a secret group called VAPE becomes notorious for using distinctive red CROWDS to cause destruction, leading to a decline in public support for the technology. With Tsubasa now part of the Gatchaman, they must stop VAPE's malicious plans before disaster strikes.

Unlike most school clubs that openly describe what they do, the GJ Club keeps its actual purpose a secret. Kyouya "Kyoro" Shinomiya recently became the only male member among the five. Kyoro is joined by Mao Amatsuka, the club president who bites him when she gets frustrated or embarrassed; her calm younger sister Megumi Amatsuka, who often prepares snacks for the group; the quiet chess prodigy Shion Sumeragi; and meat-loving Kirara Bernstein, who acts a lot like a cat. Each of these girls has some kind of affection for Kyoro. With such unique and charming personalities, Kyoro's time in the GJ Club is sure to be far from ordinary, whether that turns out to be good or bad.

Hajime Ichinose's everyday existence takes an unexpected turn when Hajime receives a small book called NOTE from a mysterious being named J.J. Robinson. This book gives Hajime the power to transform into a Gatchaman, one of the legendary protectors of Tachikawa City. With guidance from Sugane Tachibana, another Gatchaman, Hajime is brought to their secret base, where they are commanded by Paiman, a panda-like alien commander. The team's crucial mission is to fight MESS, dangerous extraterrestrial threats that pose an increasing danger to humanity by consuming everything in their path. With the world's fate hanging in the balance, the Gatchaman rely on Hajime's strength to avert global catastrophe.
