Seibu Railway

Kaoruko is about to meet a prospective marriage partner, but her mind is elsewhere—dwelling on a boy she met in Chichibu long ago, whose name she never learned. The vivid memories of wandering with him near Chichibu Shrine, taking in the flowers at Hitsujiyama Park, the riverside cliffs at Nagatoro, and the sea of clouds from Mitsumine Shrine linger in her heart. These precious moments inspire her to relive them. Carrying a faint hope and a sense of nostalgia, Kaoruko chooses to go back to Chichibu, wishing to find that mysterious boy once again.

The narrative centers on Botan Kamiina, a 20-year-old college freshman, as she navigates life in a dormitory and builds bonds with her senior classmates during group drinking gatherings. Various authentic alcoholic beverages—including sake, whiskey, and wine—are highlighted, alongside cultural pastimes such as music and films that enhance the drinking experience. Every drink and activity mirrors the distinct personalities and emotions of the characters, crafting a unique and singular atmosphere.
