Previously, Qin Yichen—the Supreme Alchemy Sage—was famed for his unmatched alchemy but weak in combat. That flaw let his foe Ouyang Haotian seize the martial soul of his beloved Feng Qianxue and brutally murder her and her brother Tantai Shuo before his eyes. After Lu Linghan left for the capital to change her destiny, Qin Yichen came back to Xuanyun City only to find it occupied by the Du family, with his own whereabouts unknown.
