This secretive, cult-like organization has experienced both successes and setbacks. Guided by the mysterious and beauty-obsessed Hiroyuki "Zera" Tsunekawa, they have used Litchi, which operates on lychee fruit energy, to capture the charming Kanon. With their objective achieved, the Hikari Club now has ample time to enjoy their new circumstances. From selling the technology behind Litchi to repurposing the robot for different purposes, the club seems to have no limit to its antics.

As the Seishou Festival approaches, the 99th class of Seishou Music Academy is immersed in preparations for their performance of Starlight, a poignant story about two deities linked by a celestial light who are fated to remain apart forever. This single-gender school, dedicated to cultivating future theater talents, focuses on training in singing, acting, and dance. Sixteen-year-old Karen Aijou, an easygoing student with a lifelong passion for performing, rediscovers her enthusiasm when her childhood friend Hikari Kagura transfers back to the school. With Hikari's assistance, Karen discovers a hidden elevator that leads to a vast underground theater, run by a talking giraffe. There, students engage in fierce competitions to win the prestigious title of Top Star, which guarantees a lead role in Starlight. Driven by a promise to achieve stardom together, Karen joins these mysterious contests to fulfill their shared dream.

In the second season of Nanbaka, the easygoing daily life inside Nanba Prison persists for both its prisoners and wardens. Yet, a new danger lurks in the shadows: Enki Gokuu, a person connected to Samon's history, whose intentions stay unknown.

In the high-security prison Nanba, which is specifically built to hold escape artists who are too clever for ordinary facilities, Cell 13 houses four notorious inmates. Juugo is an expert locksmith who has spent most of his life behind bars, Uno is a gambler who relies on instinct, Nico is an otaku whose body reacts unpredictably to various substances, and Rock is a heavy eater and a strong fighter. Together, they continue their mischievous antics, much to the annoyance of the dedicated building supervisor, Hajime Sugoroku, who works tirelessly to keep them under control. The story follows the humorous and dazzling adventures of these inmates and their guards, set against a backdrop of daily routines like three meals a day and special events such as sports festivals. Even though they are confined, the conditions at Nanba are tolerable enough that for these four, it almost feels like home.
