Well-known author Charles Dickens, deeply absorbed in his writing, struggles to build a bond with his artistically gifted son, Walter. During a public reading by Dickens, Walter interrupts the event, leading Dickens to tell the story of Jesus Christ to his son in an attempt to close the distance between them. As Dickens narrates, Walter becomes completely immersed, almost as if he is experiencing the events of Jesus' life firsthand.
