Originally a commander in the Elite Wing under the Gaia Sanction, tasked with protecting Earth, Captain Harlock led an invincible fleet. But when the Gaia Sanction permits a select group of diplomats to settle on Earth, Harlock rebels, striking against both the diplomats and his former allies. In a desperate act, he unleashes dark matter onto Earth, making it uninhabitable, though he himself is consumed by it and gains immortality.
