The cyborg agent known as "009-1," Mylene Hoffman, receives orders from her handler "Number Zero" to neutralize a jazz musician suspected of being a double agent. While immersing herself in his life, she becomes less certain of his guilt and more conflicted. She faces a choice: finish the mission or give in to her growing feelings before it's too late.

Mylene Hoffman, a cybernetically enhanced spy operating under the codename "009-1," exists in a parallel world where the Cold War has persisted without resolution for 140 years. This reality is divided between two opposing factions: the Western bloc and the Eastern bloc. A fragile pretense of peace between them gradually erodes as tensions escalate. Through political maneuvering, both sides vie for dominance over technological advancements and the looming threat of nuclear warfare. Alongside three fellow agents, Mylene navigates a web of deceit, turmoil, and fierce competition while executing orders from her handlers.
