2150 AD. The conflict against the silicon-based Festums from outer space enters a new stage. Fragments of the North Pole Mir are scattered across the globe, eventually beginning to act independently as separate Mirs. Most of them despise humanity and launch attacks, yet some choose to coexist with humans. Similarly, within the human race exist individuals who are both human and Festum, sharing the same mindset. These beings add further chaos to the battle and generate even more hatred. This is the sequel to Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor, taking place two years after the events of Heaven and Earth.
