Every object created in this world has a designated purpose. For certain items, that purpose is fulfilled only after their owner perishes. If a person's beloved belonging gains a soul and takes human shape, what becomes of it when abandoned? A spirit without a master can only drift across the land until it finally crumbles into nothingness along the breeze.

Inspired by a short story from Bu Sifan, the creator and director of Dahufa, this film centers on a fictional golden flower capable of corrupting anyone who comes into contact with it. Since the flower specifically targets people with kind hearts, the martial artists tasked with destroying it confront a moral quandary: is it justifiable to kill innocent individuals who are themselves trying to shield others from being corrupted?

In the late 1990s in China, Tu Xiaoyi is a high school student who would rather spend time playing video games with his friend Peanut than concentrating on his schoolwork. After his teacher tasks him with serving as class representative together with the charming Yao Zhetian, he goes through a journey that includes his first love and numerous hardships.
