In 2010, a 35-minute theatrical 3D film was released as part of the Vegetable Fairies (Yasai no Yousei) franchise, adapted from Yoshitaka Amano's N.Y. Salad art book. When a household in a moonlit New York City kitchen falls asleep, anthropomorphic vegetable fairies awaken to enjoy a night of innocent games and small adventures that celebrate friendship, creativity, and the magic concealed in everyday life.

The Japanese television network TBS has announced that it will begin broadcasting the Suzy's Zoo Daisuki! Witzy series of anime shorts this April. The anime is an adaptation of the American greeting card line Suzy's Zoo, created by San Diego-based artist Suzy Spafford. The story focuses on a duckling named Witzy and his stuffed animal companions in a lush, green backyard.

This original story of the anime follows Mutta and Hibito as children during a single summer. In that summer when the two brothers made their vow to travel to space, they encountered a young girl who held a wish of her own.
