Among these newcomers is Sou, who immediately draws Eri's interest. Resolved to cultivate her feelings for Sou, Eri sets out on a series of tough trials.

The summer season arrives, bringing a beachside festival where many Pokémon operate stalls. The group is about to enjoy a unique concert by the pop idol Azumarill, but as she appears, the flying Pokémon Skarmory abducts her! Now Pikachu, Plusle, Minun, Meowth, Wobbuffet, and various other Pokémon must search for the singing star—the spectacle must proceed!
