After moving from Tokyo to Okinawa, Teruaki "Teru" Nakamura becomes unexpectedly attracted to Hina Kyan, a lively classmate who helps him feel comfortable in his new high school surroundings. Though Hina's strong local dialect frequently leaves Teru bewildered, she eagerly shows him different aspects of life in Okinawa.
Fortunately, Hina's close friend Kana Higa steps in to assist Teru in deciphering Hina's words, offering to teach him useful phrases from the regional dialect. However, Kana has hidden intentions—she has a crush on Teru, which drives her to spend more time with him. As the three grow closer, each unaware of the others' romantic feelings, Teru learns more about his new home while enjoying the company of his new friends.
