In the Neighbor's Club, the group finds it hard to settle on an activity until Kodaka Hasegawa proposes they make a round-robin story, where each person adds their own part. However, the project quickly goes off the rails as every participant writes based on their own tastes, each trying to one-up what came before. Amidst all this disorder, can the story ever reach a proper ending?

After transferring to a new school, Hasegawa Kodaka struggles to make friends—partly because his blond hair gives others the impression he's a troublemaker. One day he encounters his irritable and solitary classmate Yozora, who is engaged in a lively conversation with her imaginary friend Tomo. Upon realizing that both of them lack real friends, they come up with a plan to change their situation: create a club and actively seek new members. Thus, the "Rinjinbu" (Neighbors' Club) was established—a group intended for those who have few friends. As other isolated classmates gradually join their circle, they attempt to learn how to form friendships by cooking, playing games, and engaging in various group activities. However, the question remains whether this collection of socially awkward individuals can truly get along.

The true ending arc of Ore no Imouto consists of four episodes that diverge after the 11th episode of the main TV series, offering an alternate conclusion to the anime. These episodes stand in contrast to the good end arc of the TV series, which was an original ending created for the anime, and instead adhere closely to the source material from the light novels.

In the high school's Food Research Club, Yuuki Oojima enjoys a leisurely existence centered around indulging in snacks funded by the school. Even after a major incident at the end of summer, the Neighbor's Club remains a sanctuary for its lonely members. Yozora Mikazuki and the group resume their regular routines, but the sudden appearance of a mysterious nun, student council representatives, and other newcomers throws Kodaka Hasegawa's schedule into further disarray. As they navigate standard high school experiences like amusement park outings, game nights, and preparations for the school festival, the dynamics between the club members gradually evolve. These changes pave the way for the next chapter in this heartfelt, occasionally awkward coming-of-age romantic comedy.
