In a future era, advanced robotics has led to the creation of heavy robots known as labors, which serve in diverse roles ranging from construction and firefighting to military operations. Although these machines are merely tools, their human operators can sometimes succumb to criminal behavior. Because a heavy labor can easily become a lethal weapon, future police forces counter this threat with their own specialized patrol labor units, or patlabors. This narrative follows the Second Special Vehicles Division, a ragtag group of patlabor officers who strive to maintain peace while balancing their demanding duties with the pursuit of ordinary lives.

Ryo Saeba is a "sweeper" known as the City Hunter. Along with his partner Kaori Makimura, they take on jobs that the police are unable or unwilling to handle. When he isn't busy cleaning up the streets of Tokyo, Ryo pursues women, and Kaori pursues him with a giant anti-ecchi hammer.

High school student Yawara Inokuma leads a perfectly happy and ordinary life. She dreams of a simple, average existence as a delicate young lady with a handsome boyfriend in the future. They encounter Aladdin, Prince Dandarn, and Princess Shalala. They also meet the cunning Abdullah, who constantly attempts to kidnap the princess so that his master may marry her. Our heroes travel through various times and places, meeting many historical and literary figures as they pursue Abdullah, who escapes through time with the princess. Hayato and Yumi remain trapped in the past until they can reclaim the Tondekeman from Abdullah's possession.

Apulo, a cat-like space alien capable of locking a human's emotions, and Latell are employees of the Division of Space Piracy (DSP). Their methods for handling DSP cases are highly destructive. They are trying to prevent the space pirate Youmei from utilizing Computer Aided Thinking for his sinister purposes.

The narrative consists of a series of races set on imaginative courses, with runs tailored to suit her style. The plot increasingly focuses on uncovering who the true Emperor is, revealing a collection of minor titles that are pitted against the Emperor of Yonkuro. The concluding chapter of the hellish Rally challenge involves a race against a gang of thugs who aim to exploit top Mini 4WD racers in order to retrieve a hidden treasure. The story centers on siblings Tatsuya and Kiyoko, the children of a scientist at the Twin X facility. This narrative is utilized by the immensely popular protagonist, Yonkuro Hinomaru.

While Sally is being crowned in the magical world, she learns that her human friends back on Earth are in trouble. Disregarding her parents' warnings, she escapes to Earth to aid them. Because she was caught using magic in front of humans, she had to erase her friends' memories. Now Sally remains on Earth so she can regain the friendship of Sumire and Yoshiko while assisting other humans in need. This series is a sequel and reboot of the original.

His life is a series of embarrassing blunders, such as announcing to a public park via PA system that he is suffering from hemorrhoids, thereby shaming his department head. In another instance, he disappoints an entire district by posting a notice for a fireworks display, only to personally hold a single small firework as the actual show. While his department head is his usual target, anyone or anything can fall prey to his irony and sarcasm. The narrative unfolds without a traditional plot structure, instead being arranged chronologically to follow the changing seasons.
