Ishigaki Junya was born on November 22, 1967 in Shizuoka, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. He has worked on such projects as the OVA Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz (1997, mechanical design); the TV series Angelic Layer (2001, mechanical design); the OVA Macross Zero (2002, mechanical design) and Top wo Nerae 2! (2005, mechanical design); and the feature film Fullmetal Alchemist: The Conqueror of Shambala (2005, creature design.) He has also designed innovative security robots, Mujiro and Ligurio, exhibited at the Expo 2005 Aichi Japan. In 1998 he was one of the founders of the small short-lived Studio Trapezoid together with Ono Manabu, Yamaguchi Susumu and Saito Takuya. His debut was as a guest mechanical designer on Yuusha Exkaiser in 1990 for Sunrise, where he worked for the next few years before going freelance. (Source: AniDB)
