Yuzuru Kazamatsuri, one of Japan's leading zoologists, received a request for help from the International Union for the Conservation of Animals and Nature. The request was twofold. One is to check the conservation status of rare wild animals around the world. The second was to confirm the existence of an unidentified "animal" that had been sighted in various parts of the world. Accompanied by his elementary school son, Ken, Yuzuru travels around the world. What is this "blue monster" that has been showing up all around the world? A socially-conscious work that can be enjoyed as a travelogue, and also raises the alarm about social problems. <BR><BR>
