Pearl Hunting

山女のはらわた

A certain region in vast China. Xiaodan and his friend An, who once moved to this village, go pearl hunting as usual. During a break from work, Yasu begins to tell him a fairy tale from his distant hometown, starting with a story about how when Kotan was young, he thought of pearls as ``mermaid tears.'' Something nostalgic and somehow disturbing. A rising star who is active mainly overseas makes his first appearance in Japan.
