Set in Asagaya, Suginami Ward, Tokyo, this work depicts the life of a young man living in a cheap four-and-a-half-mat apartment. The main character, Yoshio Hori, is modeled after the author, Fukutani, and some of the stories are based on the author's true life story. <BR><BR> The story is dirty, unrefined, and erotic, and many readers sympathized with the protagonist's miserable life, who would have a good relationship with a woman but always got dumped in the end. The magazine dealt with many subcultures such as adult entertainment, yakuza, and drug addicts. <BR><BR>
