Resumo
Bright atua como oficial comandante da tripulação do White Base durante a Guerra de Um Ano. Embora mantivesse diversas perspectivas sobre o conflito, geralmente guardava suas opiniões para si devido ao seu posto relativamente baixo. Ele frequentemente cuida de Amuro, ajudando-o a tomar decisões sensatas. Mais tarde, assume o comando do porta-aviões AEUG Argama, engajando-se em combate contra os Titans durante o conflito de Gryps. Após a batalha final contra o Neo Zeon, Bright retorna à Federação para assumir o posto de comandante das forças de Londo Bell.
