Though he desires a wife, many women are unwilling to abandon their comfortable lives for the isolated territory. The upper class mocks him as the "Yeti of the Borderlands," ridiculing his simple lifestyle. At a dinner gathering, Ritz is instantly captivated by Sieglinde "Sieg" von Wettin, a distinguished lady-knight, and promptly proposes.
