Kotaro, a 32-year-old single office worker, lives with four god foxes. Each of the four gods has their own unique personality: Beni, the leader who governs prosperity in business; Kin, the glutton who governs bountiful harvests; Shiro, the taciturn one who governs the elimination of epidemics; and Kuro, the youngest child who governs good fortune. The gods have lived for hundreds of years and dote on Kotaro as if he were their own grandson.
