Jigokusei Remina

In a futuristic Japan, astrologist Tsuneo Ooguro achieves a monumental feat by discovering a new planet from another universe. This discovery thrusts the professor into the spotlight, earning him acclaim and the privilege of naming the celestial body. He chooses to name it after his shy daughter, Remina, who is quickly forced into an uncomfortable life of fame. Unlike humans, Planet Remina behaves erratically, lacking clear orbital patterns and causing stars to vanish when it approaches. The mystery deepens when Professor Ooguro’s assistant claims the planet stopped moving and stared directly at him before going mad. The assistant’s final warning is that the planet is now heading toward Earth. As Planet Remina enters the solar system, it leaves a trail of emptiness and triggers global panic. Public adoration quickly turns to hostility, with people blaming the Ooguros for the disaster and demanding their destruction. Now labeled Public Enemy No. 1, Remina must evade a furious mob while the approaching hellstar looms. This volume also includes the one-shot Okuman Bocchi.

Jigokusei Remina was published in English as Remina by VIZ media on December 15, 2020. The series was published in Spanish by ECC Comics on August 26, 2015, and in Polish by Japonica Polonica Fantastica in July 2014.
