Feng Shen Ji
封神記
A divine envoy arrived in Zhao Ge, seat of the long-ruling Shang dynasty. Emperor Zi Zhou refused to submit to the gods, telling the envoy he would no longer tolerate Heaven's oppression. The gods were angered; soon the emperor of a neighboring kingdom, Wu Jifa, launched a campaign against the rebellious Shang. The Shang forces were heavily outnumbered, and as the capital was about to fall, Zhou entered the fray. He broke through enemy lines and advanced toward Jifa, but then a god suddenly descended from the sky, landing before him, ready to personally handle the troublemaker.
