Ao no Hako

Taiki Inomata is a third-year junior high student at Eimei Academy, a school that combines junior and senior high levels and has a strong sports program. After joining the high school badminton team, Taiki strives to get to open practice as early as possible. Yet no matter how early he arrives, he always finds himself second in the gymnasium. The person who consistently beats him there is Chinatsu Kano, a first-year senior high student and the object of Taiki's affection. Chinatsu is a rising star on the basketball team, and the gulf in their status is enormous. Taiki is a solid badminton player, but his popularity is far below Chinatsu's, making it seem unlikely that she would ever return his feelings. Then, by an unexpected turn of events, she ends up living in Taiki's house! Determined to become someone worthy of Chinatsu, Taiki chases the same goal she has: reaching the Nationals. He begins training with more intensity than ever before, all in hopes of forging a strong connection with his new housemate.
