Shinseiki Evangelion: Ikari Shinji Tantei Nikki

This offbeat version of Neon Genesis Evangelion sees Shinji's classmate Toji targeted by gangsters, prompting the kind-hearted Shinji to intervene. He turns to local private eye Ryoji Kaji and his captivating young aide Kaworu Nagisa. Though Shinji only meant to ask for help, he ends up taking charge of the investigation with Kaworu's assistance—and Kaworu remains a puzzle throughout.
