Rena Rubel spent her childhood in isolation, raised apart from her parents, the marquis of the north and his wife. Everything began to improve when they welcomed her back into their home. Years later, while traveling to the capital, Lin rescues two women—Rena and her maid Yuni—who are cornered by a group of criminals. After inviting them to a meal, Lin is astonished to discover that Rena is much more than just a pretty face; she is far stronger and more dangerous than she appears. The innocent little girl is gone—Rena has come back to confront her father and determine whether he deserves her forgiveness. If he proves to be the same greedy scoundrel who abandoned his own flesh and blood, she intends to make him experience the same hell she endured.
