Takeda cannot understand why his painting of classmate Kuwabara is deemed "not good enough" and "lacking substance" while her study of him receives praise. After school, Kuwabara finds Takeda examining the two paintings, but he still fails to see the difference. Eventually he asks for her opinion. "If you fall in love with your subject and observe," she begins to explain, then stops, blushing in confusion. Takeda grabs her wrist before she can flee and says, "I want to paint you again, Kuwabara..."
