Inez, an orphaned girl, possesses a rare gift that allows her to communicate with all living creatures. Although she is unaware of it, she is fated for something grand. The story begins as she travels with an old wizard named Kaager and her loyal dog, Zode. Her homeland is about to experience its first winter in a hundred years, along with ominous signs of a demon race resurfacing that threatens to disrupt the current peace. Will Inez, with the help of a mystical amulet, be able to summon the ancient dragon guardian of her land in time to prevent disaster?
