The world consists of two separate realms: Yang, where humans live, and Yin, the home of mythical creatures, with constant conflict between them. Long ago, two warring clans made a binding agreement and retreated into their own territories. During that period, the ruler of all mythical beasts gave their sword to the human queen they loved, promising that if she or her descendants ever faced danger, the ruler and their offspring would come to help. As a fresh war looms, an elegant swordsman who carries the bloodline of the Holy Queen meets the faraway king of mythical beasts, initiating the start of their linked destiny.
