Tanjirou Kamado, a gentle boy who has been providing for his family by selling coal ever since his father passed away, soon discovers that these old tales are not mere superstition when he arrives home one day to discover his entire family has been killed by demons. Only he and his younger sister Nezuko survive, but Nezuko has been turned into a demon. Filled with determination and resolve, Tanjirou joins the Demon Slayer Corps and sets out on his journey to find a way to restore his sister's humanity and exact vengeance for his family's murder.
