During his childhood, Kazuaki "Chie" Fujikawa often felt self-conscious about his feminine looks and struggled to assert himself, which led to many awkward situations and close calls with tears. In contrast, his friend Misaki "Misa" Yuudai—who gave Chie the nickname "Chii-chan"—had no issue voicing his thoughts. Known as "Misa-chan," he was popular with everyone, and through their bond, Chii admired Misa and tried to emulate his self-assurance. Now, several years later, Chii and Misa meet again in high school, both shocked by how much the other has changed. With their old dynamic no longer fitting, they must figure out this new stage of their relationship, uncertain of how to view each other.
