Tomoharu Natsume decides to live independently at the start of high school. Although he seems like a normal student, his life carries an unusual trait—he is often accompanied by the ghost of a young girl named Minakami Misao. As Tomoharu settles into his new residence at Meioutei and goes about his daily school routine, his peace is broken when a mysterious girl, Kurosaki Shuri, arrives carrying a trunk entrusted to her by Tomoharu’s brother. This trunk soon draws the attention of Takatsuki Kanade, a girl dressed in shrine maiden robes who is also after the same object. With the trunk now in his hands, Tomoharu is forced into a clash with the hidden truths of the world.
