Baoh Raihousha

Sumire, a nine-year-old girl gifted with clairvoyant abilities, is held captive on a train by the secret organization Doress, which is transporting her to their laboratory. Seizing an opportunity to flee, Sumire inadvertently frees Doress's top-secret experiment: a seventeen-year-old boy named Ikurou Hashizawa, who has been implanted with the Baoh parasite. Endowed with extraordinary powers of invulnerability and regeneration, Ikurou helps Sumire, and the two escape together. But this is only the beginning of their ordeal. Since Ikurou's development remains incomplete, Doress deems him too dangerous to remain at large and orders his immediate elimination. On the run, the pair must withstand a barrage of assassins while Ikurou strives to understand his rapidly evolving abilities.

Baoh Raihousha was published in English as Baoh by VIZ Media, first as part of the VIZ Select Comics, with eight issues from December 1989 to July 1990, and later in tankoubon format on August 31, 1995.
