In "Dissolving Classroom," a new transfer student named Yuuma Azawa joins the class, earning a reputation for constantly apologizing. His classmate Keiko Arisu tries to persuade him to stop, but Yuuma only responds with further apologies. Strange events escalate when Keiko notices a mysterious girl following her, threatening to extract her brain. Terrified, Keiko flees and is hit by a truck, ending up in the hospital. When Yuuma visits Keiko, he reveals that the girl she saw is his younger sister, Chizumi. As Keiko becomes friends with Chizumi, she learns about Yuuma's dark past: he once summoned a demon, which led to his compulsive use of endless apologies as a twisted form of offering. Back at school, Keiko witnesses horrifying scenes where her classmates' brains leak from their heads. Chizumi claims this is caused by Yuuma's apologies. Keiko escapes the same fate but realizes that the tragedies and misfortunes surrounding the demonic siblings are only the beginning. The series also includes the one-shot stories "Saikai" and "Daichi no Ko."
