Although Mario was born in Rome, he has no memories of the city. Raised in Belgium by his foster family, he consistently took on the lead roles at his ballet school. Mario eventually joins a contemporary dance troupe in Paris alongside Didi, Raffaella, and Sylvia. While he develops feelings for Raffaella, the unresolved mystery surrounding his biological father's death continues to cast a shadow over his joy.
