The story centers on two friends, Billy and Nick. They have been sharing an apartment and working tirelessly to promote their band, The Rebels. Billy has secretly loved Nick for a while but lacks the courage to push their relationship beyond friendship. In the tough world of struggling musicians, conflict brews as the other band members become annoyed with Nick's laid-back and independent attitude. They want to kick the "hippy" out of the group, forcing Billy to make an agonizing decision: should he pursue his lifelong dream of making music, a passion he has invested countless hours into, or stand by the one who captured his heart long ago—his true best friend, Nick?
