Bekku Nanaki possesses the ability of mirror clairvoyance. She relocated from the countryside to Tokyo in an attempt to escape the disasters she foresees. While there, she witnesses a road accident involving a mobile fish vendor, who ends up saving her life when a billboard falls from above and nearly crushes her. The following day, she discovers that this vendor is Banjou Kizaki, her classmate and a student who was held back due to his involvement in various incidents and accidents that others attribute to his bad luck. His peculiar behavior, however, piques her interest, and he explains it as his way of altering the future.
