Tsubasa Shiina is a fourth-grade girl who has just moved to Hokkaido with her father. Being shy, she struggles to make new friends at school. Her father worries about her, but his new job keeps him too busy; he even arrives late on Parents' Day. One night, Tsubasa spots a strange object falling from the sky—could it be a spaceship? It crashes into the woods near her house. She finds that it's actually an injured alien inside a damaged spacecraft. Suddenly, a monster appears and attacks Tsubasa! She transforms into "Figure" without understanding what's happening. Confused and frightened, she manages to defeat the monster using her incredible new powers. After the battle, Tsubasa encounters a girl who looks exactly like her—her name is Hikaru.
