In Puella Magi Kazumi Magica, Kazumi wakes up after being kidnapped, only to discover she has no memories of her past. She is rescued by Umika Misaki and Kaoru Maki, who claim to be her best friends and bring her to their home. Struggling to adjust to her unfamiliar environment, Kazumi is suddenly attacked by a witch and transforms into a magical girl. With her new powers, Kazumi learns that both of her companions are also magical girls, and they are members of the Pleiades Saints, a team that fights witches. As she tries to settle into this new life, strange incidents begin occurring across the city, adding to the peculiarity of her situation. The story of Mahou Shoujo Kazumi★Magica: The Innocent Malice follows Kazumi's attempts to adapt to a world she no longer knows and her disturbing realization that her true enemies might be far closer than she ever imagined.
