Five young people received surgical enhancements to become strong enough to fight an expected alien invasion. However, a decade after the initial warning, no aliens have appeared. In this quiet period, Serena, who considers herself a justice champion, alongside her subordinate and frequent target of her antics, Souya, continue protecting the weak and punishing evil. Outside their hero work, Serena pursues romantic interests, while Souya focuses on his anime figure collection. Their routine is shaken when an old friend suddenly returns, though the consequences of this reunion remain uncertain.
