In the city of London, now called Airstrip One, Winston Smith works at the Ministry of Truth. Posters of Big Brother are everywhere, and the Thought Police vigilantly uncover any signs of disloyalty. Winston's life changes when he meets Julia, and he begins to see possibilities beyond his mundane existence, leading him to question the regime. Despite the constant surveillance from police helicopters, Winston and Julia start to defy the Party, drawn into acts of rebellion. But Big Brother tolerates no dissent, even in thought.
